Dan Heflin holds a B.M. in saxophone performance from San Jose State University. He has played in big bands, jazz ensembles, and the anime/video game Bay Area theatrical group Hideo. Prior to moving to the Sacramento region, Dan worked at Alfred Music, a Los Angeles-based publisher of music education books and resources. Dan is also an international award-winning film composer and director. Films have screened at the Nevada City Film Festival, Sacramento International Film Festival, and Germany After Dark Film Festival. As an enthusiast of music education, Dan enjoys giving back to the community including teaching as a music docent at iLearn Academy and a music/audio/video contributor to several local nonprofit projects.
