Tuition is paid monthly at the beginning of each month. Tuition is the same, regardless of the number of lessons per month. Lessons are held year round and all students will
receive a minimum of 44 lessons per year.
McLaughlin Studios accepts cash, check, and all major credit cards. Tuition is due by the 1st of the month and considered late by the 10th of the month. Payments made after the 10th of the month will result in a $25 late fee; all NSF checks and declined automatic payments will be charged an additional $25 fee.

Duet Lessons: 30min-$86/mo, 45min-$130/mo, 60min-$174/mo
Group Classes: 30min- $45/mo, 45min- $65/mo, 60min-$72/mo
McLaughlin Studios charges an annual registration fee of $30 per student ($50 per family) that is due at time of registration. The annual fee covers participation in recitals, enrichment classes, and community performance opportunities for 1 year; the registration fee also provides support staff. The registration fee is not refundable should you decide to withdraw from lessons.
Withdrawing from Lessons
McLaughlin Studios requires written notice by the 15th of the month to discontinue lessons for the following month. Notice must be given to office staff, not the teacher. A student may be dismissed for: repeated failure to attend lessons, behavior or attitude problems, or nonpayment of tuition. Once withdrawal notice has been given, the student is no longer eligible to receive makeup lessons, enrichment classes, or recitals.
Makeup lessons will be limited to 2 per semester and cannot be carried over into the next semester. No refunds are given for missed lessons. There are no makeup lessons for group music or dance classes. 24-hour notice must be given to McLaughlin Studios office staff to receive makeup lessons. Lessons cancelled by the teacher will always be promptly made up or taught by a substitute. If lessons must be cancelled due to extreme weather or events beyond our control, such as power outages, the missed lessons will be rescheduled within the coming month.
McLaughlin Studios believes that all students, regardless of age or level, are able to enrich and empower their minds through the study of the arts.
All enrolled students and families of McLaughlin Studios agree to abide by the following policies:
Payment of Tuition:
Tuition payments may be made with a recurring credit or debit card payment, via our online invoices, or in person with the McLaughlin Studios office staff.
There are no lessons the week of Thanksgiving, two weeks of winter break, the week of Spring break, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Memorial Day. All students will receive a minimum of 44 lessons per year. Tuition is calculated to include holidays.
Parent's Responsibility and Awareness of Dates and Events:
It is the responsibility of the parents or adult student to be aware of all studio activities, included, but not limited to: viewing days, recitals, extra classes, and dates the studio is open or closed. The studio will post all such notices prominently around the studio, as well as sending out emails. It is the responsibility of the parents or adult students to inform the studio of any changes in contact information.
Care of Students/Pick Up and Drop Off:
Nobody is available to watch your students before and after lessons. Please arrange pick up and drop off accordingly or remain in the building for the duration of your child's lessons. Children must be supervised in the waiting room. McLaughlin Studios is not responsible for the safety of your child before or after their regularly scheduled lesson times. This includes, but is not limited to: early drop off, late pick up, or arriving at an incorrect time.
Parents, legal guardians of minors, students, and adult students waive the right to any legal action for injury sustained on studio property resulting from normal lesson activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during, or after lesson time.
Parents and adult students are responsible for scheduling regular practice sessions at home. Teachers will provide a list of what students are expected to practice during the week. If you have questions about practicing, please discuss the issues with your teacher.
McLaughlin Studios is hereby granted permission to take photographs and videos of students to use in online and promotional materials. Permission is also granted for the studio to copyright such material in its name. Last names are never published. If you would not like for your child's pictures to be used, please inform us in writing.
I have read and understand the above policies and agree to abide by them.
At the end of each dance season, client payment information is removed from our system. All returning students must re-register each season.
McLaughlin Studios dance classes run for 9 consecutive months. Registered dancers are expected to complete a full dance season.
Costumes will be required for all students for the recitals and class photos. This generally will not apply to adult classes. Costumes will be ordered several months in advance so that they will arrive at the studio in a timely manner (and we can have pictures done early). A non-refundable costume deposit of $20.00 will be charged at time of enrollment (for each class the student is enrolled in). Students who enroll after the first month of the session may have to pay an extra shipping fee – or higher costume fee.
Please note: Tuition balances must be paid in full to receive costumes.
